Nicole + Ryan's Engagement Photos | Rochester NY Wedding Photographer

Nicole and Ryan are two of the most gentle, friendly people you'll meet, with no shortage of jokes and laughs between each other. It made for a great early-morning session by the very active lake shore and the sunken gardens at Highland Park. Nicole's dad even brought out his fully restored (and beautiful) Mach 1 Mustang for us toward the end of the session.

We also had an opportunity for me to try out a new photographic technique I learned this spring.. read below to find out. In the meantime, enjoy these fun, loving, authentic and cool photos

With a little extra time and a willingness to try it out, I set up my portable darkroom and trays and chemicals, and did an actual, historically-authentic tintype. This is the same photographic process used by photographers in the 1850s to the early 1900s. And Nicole and Ryan held still like pros ;)
