Colby + Kevin's Rush NY Wedding, August 2015 | Rochester NY Wedding Photographer
After an awesome engagement shoot in Vitale Park where they got engaged, I knew their wedding would be equally as fun. Their intimate ceremony and reception both were at a park lodge near Mendon Ponds park in Rush NY, and boy was this wedding a joy to photograph. The anticipation right before the ceremony was palpable as Kevin (and most of the bridesmaids) had to grab a tissue... which even got me choked up!
After the ladies got ready at the Double Tree hotel in Henrietta, we headed to the lodge for the beautiful ceremony where they read custom-written vows to each other. After some photos in Mendon Ponds park (at one point setting up a strobe with umbrella for a group shot in the middle of the road), we headed back to the reception for delicious food, games and an ice cream truck. All in all, it was a fun day with awesome people, and these photos reflect that.
The height of the drama for the day.. a bracelet clasp that took a while to figure out how to work ;)
Love the look of black and white film

Some gag gifts from Colby's sister and Maid of Honor, Mackenzie
Couples are so happy to have a printed photo handed to them. I am happy to take these polaroid instant photos so they can have something tangible and non-digital to remember the day by.
Who wants some sundaes?
A friendly family game of cornhole

It was a privilege to witness this emotional ceremony and document the day. Thank you Colby and Kevin!
