Gesica + Dan - 2nd Shooting | Detroit MI Wedding Photographer
I had the distinct pleasure of second shooting for a Nashville wedding photographer I admire, Evan Baines, for a wedding in MI. I find it mildly amusing that I, a Rochester wedding photographer, drove 6 hours across two international borders to photograph a wedding in Rochester. I guess I never truly leave home :) This was a great opportunity to work with someone from whom I've drawn photographic inspiration from. A great thing about second shooting once in a while is it lets me experiment a little, hone in on one or two techniques and practice and move around at get shots I would normally just highlight (versus fully explore) at a wedding. The fact that I get to hang out with a photographer and talk shop all day is just gravy.
I am happy to finally be able to share these with you and let you enjoy the alternate viewpoint I had at this wedding. Thank you Evan for the opportunity.
I like Evans shot of this better

Behind the scenes again
Of all those awesome shots Evan got in the studio setting, I got one- and this was Evan's pose and lighting setup. It was here where I learned the most. Hats off to a master. It was awesome to witness this different skill set- Evan does a lot of studio commercial photography.
Thanks again Evan for the great opportunity. Stay tuned to my blog- I have a wedding, engagement shoot and senior portrait session on deck!
